Responsibilities include efficient food production, safe handling, sanitation, learning menu items, and delivering plated and buffet items with precise presentation. Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifikationen

• At least 4 years culinary experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen.
• ServSafe or equivalent food handler certification required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Advanced knife skills required.
• Basic math skills and ability to follow recipes (weights & measures).
• Familiarity with batch and quantity cooking.
• Culinary degree or formal training strongly preferred.
• Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Kitchen environment includes humidity, heat and exposure to cleaning chemicals.

Aufgaben

• Efficiently prepare all food items as directed by supervisor and to company specifications.
• Maintain safe food handling procedures at all times.
• Understand large-scale food production and timing requirements.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation per health department guidelines.
• Learn all menu items produced by assigned station.
• Ensure station is set for service 15 minutes prior to service.
• Plate presentations meeting specifications.
• Prepare buffet and plated items.
• Produce orders including grilling, roasting, and baking fish, steaks, chicken and shellfish.
• Communicate with team members.
• Attend required monthly department meetings and trainings.
• Complete other duties as assigned by management.
