Job summary

The Westin Tempe is seeking a full-time Banquet Chef to join Crescent Hotels & Resorts at The Westin Tempe. This key role supports our culinary team with banquet events, coordinating production, plating, and presentation while maintaining cost controls and safety standards.

The position requires AM/PM shifts, some weekends and holidays, and the ability to lead a large banquet kitchen. Growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits are highlighted in the description.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years kitchen management as a chef or executive chef in a hotel/resort setting preferred.
• Hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Must be able to effectively manage a large department.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, plan and supervise the production, plating and presentation of food at all banquet events in a cost effective, safe manner.
• Assist in servicing guests and delivering exceptional service.
• Take part in budgeting, cost control and menu planning for banquets.
