Job summary

Augusta Country Club in Augusta, GA seeks a banquet captain to lead the events team on the floor for member and private events, weddings and more. You will coordinate service between kitchen and banquet staff and ensure adherence to BEOs and club standards.

The role requires minimum two years in food service, supervisory experience, strong leadership and polished communication. Expect on-site work with duties spanning setup, service, and post-event breakdown.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience in food service industry, preferably in catering/banquet environment.
• Prior experience in a supervisory position.
• Excellent leadership skills, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments with little supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with high professionalism.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead events team on the floor during member club events, private events, weddings, and more.
• Coordinate food service between kitchen and banquet staff when a manager isn’t present.
• Ensure setups follow Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and standards.
• Direct servers and bartenders throughout events and monitor beverage consumption.
• Review floor plans and train team members as needed.
• Open and close side work and maintain health and safety regulations.
