Job summary

Jasper Hotel Fargo, managed by Aparium Hotel Group, seeks a Banquet Captain to lead event teams and deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will coordinate with culinary and sales, ensure flawless service, and drive excellence in every function.

You will mentor staff, handle post-event billing, and uphold Aparium’s standards while adapting to diverse client needs. A strong wine/beer knowledge and proven leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in hospitality.
• Minimum 2 years of food and beverage experience.
• Strong wine and spirits knowledge essential.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and other office systems.
• Server certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Banquets Team to execute group and social events.
• Coordinate with Sales and Culinary for client vision and service standards.
• Ensure standards of service for Food and Beverage events are met.
• Manage opening/closing checklists and event billing accuracy.
• Oversee room setup, inventory, and AV setup as needed.
• Provide coaching and feedback to team; uphold professional conduct.
