Aparium Hotel Group is seeking a dedicated Banquet Server for the Jasper Hotel Fargo. You will deliver exceptional guest experiences at weddings, corporate events, galas, and other occasions, providing courteous service in a fast-paced team environment.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, strong communication, and a commitment to high hospitality standards, with on-call scheduling including evenings and weekends.

Job description

The Banquet Server reports directly to the Banquet Captains. As Banquet Server, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences during events such as weddings, corporate functions, galas, and other special occasions. Your primary responsibility is to provide efficient and courteous food and beverage service in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to high standards of hospitality.

The Banquet Server schedule is on-call, making it a great secondary position for extra money! We are generally looking for evening and weekend availability.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Set up banquet rooms and tables according to event specifications.

Greet guests and respond to service requests promptly and professionally.

Serve plated meals, family meals, buffets, beverages, and desserts with accuracy and attention to timing.

Clear tables and maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the event.

Assist with event breakdown and reset as needed.

Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.

Collaborate with kitchen, bar, and event coordination teams to ensure seamless service.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Additional Requirements

• Continuous standing and walking and negotiating wet tile floor and steps
• Fine motor coordination is needed to pour beverages, decorate cocktails and folding napkins
• Ability to roll and/or carry Banquet Table and Chairs
• Standing and walking is continuous for 4-5 hours at a time
• Lifting and carrying 30 lb. tray, crate or box is occasional
• Negotiating varied floor surfaces is continuous
• Carrying over shoulder is occasional
• Hand and elbow movements for polishing glassware, silver, setting up tables, shacking, pouring, and mixing drinks
• Rolling and/or carry Banquet tables is continuous
• Carrying stackable banquet chairs by loading the cart is continuous
• Excellent sight and balance needed for negotiating varied floor surfaces
• Handling lighted candles, and handling hot fluids (coffee and tea)
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10*F) and kitchens (+110*F)
