Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality, The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center in Roanoke, VA, seeks a Banquet Captain to lead setup and service for banquets, directing hourly staff and coordinating rooms for diverse events. You will oversee table layouts, service flow, and guest interactions to ensure memorable experiences.

You will rely on 2–4 years of food service experience in a premium setting, with strong communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional guest service.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of food service experience, preferably banquet service.
• Experience in a 4-star/5-star venue with synchronized service.
• Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for creating an exceptional guest experience.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up for functions, including draping tables and preparing centerspieces.
• Serve and buss tables, carry trays, and assist with room service.
• Break down events, clear linens, and vacuum as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of back hall and storerooms.
• Support event room setup according to schedule and meal periods.
• Ensure quality checks on food and beverage items prior to service.
• Interact professionally with staff and guests to enhance satisfaction.
