Job summary

The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center, part of Pyramid Global Hospitality, seeks a Banquet Captain to direct the setup and service of banquet rooms, lead hourly staff, and act as the property’s representative to guests. This role drives room coordination, service quality, and revenue optimization for events.

Open availability and weekend/holiday work are required. Prior experience in a 4-star/5-star venue with synchronized service and knowledge of wines, beers, and cocktails are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience leading high-volume catering and banquet events.
• 2–4 years of food service experience, preferably in banquet settings.
• Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails and spirits for guest service.

Responsibilities

• Direct setup for functions, draping tables and arranging centerpieces.
• Serve and bus tables, carry trays, and clear dining areas during events.
• Break down rooms, reset spaces, and maintain stock and cleanliness.
• Coordinate room setup with event needs and ensure timely service.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and assist other departments as needed.
