BakeChop Co. is looking for an experienced Banquet Captain / Event Lead to help manage weddings, private events, and corporate functions. The role covers everything from setup to breakdown with a focus on flawless service.

You will lead a team, review BEOs and timelines, coordinate with the event coordinator and culinary team, and ensure guests receive exemplary hospitality. A hands-on leader who can train others and stay calm under pressure is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous banquet, catering, restaurant, or event leadership experience.
• Comfortable directing employees during an event.
• Able to work with event coordinators, chefs, bartenders, servers, and clients.
• Able to read and execute from BEOs and timelines.
• Strong hospitality standards and service etiquette.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.
• Willingness to coach and teach standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team from setup through breakdown and ensure seamless service.
• Review BEOs and timelines; coordinate with event coordinator and culinary team.
• Organize staff, assign responsibilities, oversee service, and troubleshoot as needed.
• Assist with bartending when required and maintain presentation standards.
• Coach the team to uphold elevated service and guest experience.
