Job summary

Crystal Springs in Hamburg, NJ, is seeking a Banquet Captain to lead the banquet team during events and ensure a positive guest experience. You will oversee service, coordinate with catering, and ensure BEO directions are followed.

The ideal candidate has superior communication skills, can lift up to 30 lbs, and works well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced hotel environment. A background in hospitality is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check Banquet Event Orders (BEO) for accuracy.

• Operate as a banquet server during events.
• Inspect banquet areas after functions for cleanliness and equipment.
• Explain menu ingredients and preparation methods to guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $20.00 To $22.00 Hourly

Crystal Springs is looking for a Banquet Captain to lead our banquet team in the serving of guests during banquet functions to ensure positive guest experience.

• Check server and house person Banquet Event Orders (BEO) to ensure that all information is accurate
• Check room set-up to see that BEO directions are completely followed
• Plan opening/closing assignments
• Assign seating charts and staff responsibilities
• Ensure that all public areas are neat and clean
• Communicate all BEO changes to catering office and affected departments
• Coordinate with banquet staff set-ups, changes and time schedules for all functions
• Operate as a banquet server; setting-up, greeting and serving the guest and breaking-down the function
• Inspect banquet areas at end of function to ensure all equipment is returned to its proper area and all areas are clean
• Know the menu for each function served and be able to explain the major ingredients and preparation method for each item to be served
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned
