Crescent Hotels & Resorts is honored to announce an exciting opportunity for a talented Banquet Captain for the grand opening of JW Marriott Reston Station Residences this Fall!

Join the opening team of the first JW Marriott in Virginia! Experience a new level of luxury at JW Marriott Reston Station, a stunning 28-story landmark that overlooks Reston Row, a lively urban hub filled with top-notch dining and entertainment options. The hotel features 247 rooms spread across 12 floors, setting a new standard for luxury accommodations in the DMV area. With the largest luxury meeting space in Northern Virginia, totaling 35,000 sq ft, it includes two ballrooms with 20-foot ceilings and plenty of natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows and a large skylight. The JW Residences occupy the remaining 16 floors. This architectural gem is conveniently located along the Silver Line Metro, between Dulles International and Reagan National airports, offering excellent access to the capital region and beyond.

What will you be doing?

• Check banquet event orders for accuracy
• Ensure banquet setups follow orders and public areas are tidy
• Communicate with group representatives and staff about event details
• Coordinate banquet setups, changes, and schedules
• Verify staffing levels and adjust as needed
• Operate as a banquet server when necessary
• Inspect banquet areas post-event for cleanliness and equipment return
• Post banquet checks and assist with end-of-day procedures
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills And Abilities

Must communicate effectively in English, have a self-starting personality, maintain a professional appearance, and be able to transport up to 30 lbs. through crowded areas. Willingness to help team members and be a team player is essential.
