Job summary

White Lodging Services, Inc. is seeking a Banquet Supervisor for Hotel Trinity in downtown Austin, opening late 2026 as Marriott Autograph Collection. You will own events from planning through execution and tear down, ensuring flawless service and accurate records.

This role requires 3+ years banquet experience (prefer four-diamond property), supervisory experience, alcohol-service eligibility, and strong English communication. Join a luxury hospitality team offering growth and employee benefits.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage events from planning through execution to tear down and post-con stages.
• Maintain department cleanliness and organization at all times.
• Promote effective communication within the department and hotel.
• Maintain confidential records for associates and guests.
• Handle forecasting, scheduling, and payroll procedures accurately.
• Understand equipment maintenance and service standards across departments.
• Attend and contribute to meetings with the Banquet Manager.
• Keep Event Order information accurate and up-to-date.
• Assist with posting and distributing dailies.
• Delegate tasks to staff and coach as needed.
• Stay current on trends to offer updated products and services.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• To take complete ownership and accountability of an event from the planning and preparation phases, through to the successful execution and tear down of the event and on to the post-con stages.


• To keep the entire department clean & organized at all times.


• To promote and support effective departmental and hotel communication.


• To promote, and maintain effective, confidential, secure record keeping, as well as associate and guest info.


• Maintain complete knowledge of proper forecasting and scheduling as well as complete, accurate and timely payroll procedures.


• Maintain complete working knowledge of: CI and accounts receivable systems and procedures; scheduled in-house group names and information; order of service and traffic flow in an event area; correct use and maintenance of equipment; all departmental standards and service procedures; prices of specified selections of cash functions.


• Attends, participates or leads all meetings as prescribed by the Banquet Manager.


• Maintains accurate, up to date information on the Event Orders.


• Assists in the copying, posting and distributing of \"Dailies.\"


• Delegates specific primary duties and side duties to respective staff members and follows up with coaching, praise or guidance.


• Stays abreast of current trends in order to provide the most up to date products and services.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• An understanding that excellence is the expectation


• 3 or more years of previous banquet experience, preferably in a four-diamond property


• 1 or more years of supervisory experience in a hotel setting


• Eligible to serve alcoholic beverages based on state law


• Knowledge of various food-service styles


• Excellent computer skills to maintain the administrative tasks


• Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with Guests, Management, Staff and co-workers to their understanding
