Job summary

The Cavalier Resort is seeking a Banquet Server to assist the Banquet Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences at our Virginia Beach oceanfront venue. You will set up bars, prepare drinks, and serve guests with a friendly, safe approach in accordance with established policies.

This role requires strong guest communication, basic knowledge of alcoholic beverages, steady hands, and the ability to work in a fast-paced banquet environment on the Virginia Beach boardwalk.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience or similar preferred.
• Must communicate well with guests.
• Must have basic knowledge of service of various alcoholic beverages.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to prepare and serve drinks.
• Ability to follow labeling and safety instructions in the hotel environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in busy spaces.
• Ability to maintain professional relationships with guests and colleagues.
• Basic mathematical skills for cash handling and beverages.

Responsibilities

• Assist Banquet Manager in serving guests during banquet functions.
• Check event orders and set up bars according to policies.
• Make and serve drinks following guidelines and safety controls.
• Abide by state, federal and corporate beverage requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and return equipment to proper areas.
