Job summary

White Lodging in Austin, TX seeks a banquet bartender to deliver warm hospitality at our event functions. You will greet guests, set up and tear down banquet bars, mix cocktails, and maintain cleanliness while adhering to standards.

Requirements include 3+ years banquet/bar experience, ability to read event orders, and proficiency in English. We offer medical/dental/vision, 401(k), PTO, tuition reimbursement, and room discounts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of banquet experience (preferably four-diamond property).
• Must be at least 19 years old to serve alcohol and hold a state liquor license.
• Knowledge of ingredients/recipes for classic and trendy cocktails.
• Ability to communicate in English with guests and staff.
• Ability to write legibly and communicate in writing.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Familiarity with office organization practices.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

This is a highly visible and key role responsible for delivering the initial warm welcome greeting to guests while performing the successful set-up, service, and tear down of all Banquet Bars and Receptions. This person is responsible for assisting the Banquet Captain in the successful ownership and operational execution of all Banquet Functions and duties.

• Greets and serves guests, following guidelines for “Aggressive Hospitality” and all other details of our policies and procedures regarding the service of food and beverage.

Skills

• 3 or more years of previous banquet experience, preferably in a four-diamond property.
• Minimum of 19 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages & must have a retain a state issued liquor license
• Knows the ingredients and recipes for all classic cocktails as well as trendy cocktails.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with Guests, Management, Staff and co-workers to their understanding
• Ability to provide legible, written communication
• Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations
• Knowledge of effective office organizational practices
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Education/Experience

• Previous bartending experience needed
