Job summary

White Lodging in Austin is seeking a friendly Banquet Server to join our team. You will set up, serve, and break down banquet events, ensuring guests receive polished hospitality and timely service.

You should be outgoing, a strong communicator, and comfortable standing for long periods while carrying trays and assisting other team members. Previous banquet or hospitality experience is preferred but not required, and we offer excellent benefits and growth opportunities.

• Set tables, buffets, bars, and snack breaks accurately.
• Professionally serve food and beverages, tableside or from buffets.
• Monitor tables and buffets to keep them clean and stocked.
• Assist other banquet team members to deliver exceptional events.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance as a hotel ambassador.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide exemplary hospitality.
• Know menu items, contents, preparation methods, and garnishes.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the successful set-up, service, clean-up, and tear-down of banquet events.
• Set tables, buffets, bars, and snack breaks in assigned areas correctly and accurately.
• Professionally serve food and beverages butler-style, tableside, and from buffets.
• Monitor tables, buffets, and breaks to keep them clean, stocked, and visually appealing.
• Assist other members of the banquet team to deliver a phenomenal event that exceeds guest expectations.
• Be an ambassador of the hotel by maintaining a neat and professional appearance.
• Anticipate guest needs and offer exemplary hospitality while always exhibiting professionalism and friendliness.
• Be knowledgeable of all menu items, contents, preparation methods, and garnishes; accurately answer any guest questions.
• Perform all cleaning, opening, and closing duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
