We are excited to be conducting a search for an established, progressive midsized New York law firm seeking an experienced Bankruptcy & Restructuring Senior Counsel or Partner to join its sophisticated commercial practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with a minimum of seven years of experience to assume significant responsibility for complex matters, work directly with clients and help lead the continued growth of the practice. Although a book of business is welcome, it is not required for consideration.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience representing Chapter 11 debtors, secured lenders, creditors, trustees, private equity funds and other stakeholders in bankruptcy, restructuring and insolvency matters. The practice includes Chapter 11 reorganizations, Chapter 7 liquidations, out of court workouts, distressed debt and asset transactions, DIP financing, Section 363 sales, receiverships and related commercial litigation. Strong drafting, negotiation, courtroom and client management skills are essential, along with the ability to independently manage complex matters and collaborate across the firm's litigation and transactional practices. Admission to practice law in New York is required.

Compensation ranges from $260K to $320K plus performance bonus, a top tier benefits package and additional compensation based on client originations.
