Business Restructuring & Insolvency Litigation Associate

Location: New York, NY

A leading global law firm is seeking a junior to mid-level Litigation Associate with 2-4 years of experience to join its highly regarded Business Restructuring & Insolvency practice in New York.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong commercial, securities or bankruptcy litigator looking for greater substantive responsibility and the opportunity to develop significant courtroom experience. Prior bankruptcy experience is preferred but not required, making this particularly attractive for sophisticated litigators interested in transitioning into bankruptcy and restructuring disputes.

Key Responsibilities

• Work on complex bankruptcy and restructuring litigation

Who You Are

• 2-4 years of complex litigation experience at a leading law firm


• Background in commercial, securities, bankruptcy or other sophisticated litigation


• Bankruptcy experience preferred, but not required


• Significant hands-on complex discovery experience


• Strong substantive legal research and drafting experience


• Experience working on sophisticated, fast-moving litigation or investigation teams


• Excellent analytical skills and judgment


• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing deadlines


• Strong academic credentials


• Highly motivated to develop deposition, advocacy and courtroom experience


• Admitted or eligible for admission in the relevant jurisdiction

Compensation

Salary Range: $235,000 - $310,000 (DOE)
