Job summary

Kutak Rock LLP seeks an experienced Associate to join the firm’s Bankruptcy and Litigation practice groups in its Scottsdale office.

Ideal candidates will have a demonstrated interest in developing their knowledge and skills representing corporate debtors, lenders, other creditors and trustees in bankruptcy proceedings and representing financial institutions, other business entities and individuals in state and federal court on matters related to financial restructurings, asset sales, creditors’

Qualifications

• Must be admitted to practice with an active Arizona bar license or eligible within one year.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in bankruptcy, financial services, debtor-creditor, collections, or commercial litigation preferable.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of commercial restructurings and Chapter 11 bankruptcies, including strategy, drafting, discovery, court appearances, and client communications.
• Review and documentation of commercial financial transactions, including corporate governance matters.
• Review, draft, and negotiate financing, workout, and restructuring documents.
• Review and manage financial due diligence.
