Job summary

Hyundai Capital America (HCA) is seeking a Bankruptcy Associate to manage bankruptcy accounts and ensure compliant, timely handling across Chapter 7, 13, and related processes. The role supports nationwide retail and lease accounts through multiple channels while upholding internal policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include reviewing case data, monitoring deadlines, preparing filings and notices, and escalating issues as needed.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years finance or bankruptcy experience, with auto-finance related experience preferred.
• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Ability to multitask and independently manage their time daily to ensure productivity and goals are met.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned bankruptcy accounts and case workflows through the bankruptcy lifecycle.
• Interpret account data, petitions, plans, and court orders to determine appropriate treatment.
• Prepare, file, and update reaffirmations, discharge documents, and related correspondence.
• Research and reconcile case and account information across internal systems with audit-ready documentation.
• Communicate with customers, attorneys, and third parties regarding bankruptcy accounts.
