Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking a Retail Personal Banker I to join our team in Michigan. The role focuses on using a consultative sales process to identify and meet the financial needs of customers and prospects, while handling teller transactions as part of the platform staff.

Selected candidates will participate in onboarding rotations across operations and Sales & Service, with an emphasis on acquiring new households and deepening relationships through proactive outreach and in-branch service.

Qualifications

• College degree or work experience providing transferrable skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with sales activities to acquire new households and cross-sell.
• Ability to analyze financial information and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Use consultative sales process to identify customer needs and build a profile.
• Maintain knowledge of Retail products and propose solutions.
• Schedule appointments for periodic financial reviews and cross-sell to customers.
• Support opening/servicing of Retail products and processing transactions.
• Collaborate with partners (Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial) to provide holistic solutions.
