Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking candidates for a Retail Personal Banker I track. The role focuses on using a consultative sales process to identify and meet financial needs, acquiring new households and deepening relationships.

Participants undergo a 4-8 week onboarding with rotations in operations and Sales & Service, culminating in a certification for the Retail Personal Banker role. Location: Michigan, with travel for training as needed.

Qualifications

• College degree or work experience providing transferrable skills, or a combination of education and experience.
• Experience in the financial industry preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with sales activities designed to acquire new consumer households and/or cross-sell to established customers.
• Must be able to demonstrate understanding of advanced math functions for credit and financial analysis.
• Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in terms of appearance and communication.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize Retail policies and procedures to make sound decisions.
• S.A.F.E. Act registration required at time of employment through NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Use consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build customer profiles.
• Maintain knowledge of Retail products/services and advise solutions.
• Reach out to customers and set appointments for financial reviews.
• Cross-sell to existing customers and participate in outside sales activities.
• Collaborate with Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial teams to refer customers.
• Meet or exceed customer experience and production goals.
