Job summary

The Bank of Greene County is seeking a Customer Service Associate to handle incoming calls and electronic messages, providing timely follow-up and escalating complex issues as needed. The Associate also processes various system maintenance tasks and updates customer accounts across multiple electronic formats.

You will develop knowledge of the Bank's products and services, identify sales opportunities, and support online banking, bill pay, transfers, and VISA Debit card inquiries.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in business, finance or related area preferred, or equivalent work experience in a financial institution.
• Basic technical ability to learn bank software and applications.
• Pleasant vocal tone and inflection; clear communication.
• Initiative, reliability and team-oriented values.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming telephone calls and follow up or escalate as needed.
• Resolve customer banking questions across online banking, bill pay, transfers, and VISA Debit cards.
• Identify sales and retention opportunities by recognizing customer needs.
• Process research and maintenance requests from customer inquiries.
• Develop knowledge of Bank products and services; assist across departments.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
