Job summary

Central Penn Bank & Trust is seeking a Teller/Customer Service Representative to support banking functions at our community office. The role blends teller responsibilities with opening new accounts and handling customer inquiries, while performing administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong math and reading skills, and solid customer service abilities; prior banking experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Education/Training: A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Skills: Moderate reading, writing, and grammar skills; proficient analytical and mathematics skills; proficient communicative and interpersonal relations skills; demonstrated problem-solving aptitude; proficient eye-hand coordination; moderate computer skills; moderate typing and word processing skills; ability to operate a variety of office equipment; ability to bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach and lift approximately fifty (50) lbs. of coin; visual and auditory skills.
• Experience: Minimum two (2) years’ experience in related banking position preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Accepts deposits, loan payments, and utility bill payments and cashes checks; processes night deposits and mail deposits.
• Opening and processing of new accounts; answering customer inquiries; performing various administrative duties.
