Carter Bankshares is seeking a Financial Services Representative in Hillsville, VA. You will be the first point of contact for customers, guiding them through banking needs with a proactive, personalized approach. Your role involves transactions, account servicing, and referrals to help customers achieve financial well-being.

You will work to exceed sales goals, participate in ongoing training, and contribute to a well-run branch compliant with policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalence required; some college a plus.
• Successful customer service and/or sales experience required.
• Previous experience in a retail bank or related industry preferred; cash handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides a range of customer services including transaction processing, account servicing, opening new accounts and products, and referrals to partners.
• Delivers exceptional customer experience through proactive engagement and meaningful conversation to build relationships.
• Identifies basic customer needs and generates referrals to branch associates and partners to support financial goals.
• Utilizes bank resources to resolve basic or common issues and escalates unresolved items for further research with clear, timely solutions.
• Contributes to the efficient operation of the branch by following processes, policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participates in the bank's strategic plan to grow retail banking and meets sales goals through targeted activities.
• Owns career development through training, coaching, and learning opportunities.
• Attends bank events to enhance visibility and growth of new customers.
