Job summary

Carter Bank is seeking a Financial Services Representative in Boones Mill, VA. You will be the first point of contact, guiding customers through everyday transactions and financial needs with a proactive, personalized approach.

You will build relationships, educate customers on self-service options, and route complex requests appropriately, while contributing to branch growth and customer well-being through excellent service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college a plus.
• Successful customer service and/or sales experience required.
• Previous experience in a retail bank or related industry preferred; prior cash handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handles transactions and account servicing including opening new accounts and product referrals.
• Delivers exceptional customer experience through proactive engagement and needs-based conversations.
• Identifies basic needs and generates referrals to branch staff and partners.
• Uses bank resources to resolve common issues and escalates complex cases.
• Follows established processes and compliance directives to support a well-run branch.
• Supports the bank's strategic plan and growth of retail banking.
• Meets or exceeds sales goals through targeted activities and product recommendations.
• Participates in training and coaching to advance skills and career development.
• Represents the bank at events to grow customer base.
