Job summary

Axiom Bank in Winter Haven, FL is seeking a friendly Banker to help customers with transactions, cross-sell products, and build lasting relationships at the branch. You will listen to customer needs, provide accurate service, and uphold bank policies.

The role requires a high school diploma, cash handling experience, basic math and PC skills (Word, Excel, email), and strong communication. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years' work experience in retail, with one year direct customer service experience.
• Minimum six months of cash handling experience.
• Basic math proficiency and aptitude.
• Basic PC skills (Word, Excel and email) and ability to learn the Bank’s core system to process teller transactions and look-up customer accounts.
• Ability to read memoranda, instructions, forms and applications; write clear memos and bank documents.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to present information to customers.
• Strong verbal communication skills via phone and in-person.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to job demands and changes with poise.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• English fluency with Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Achieves sales goals by identifying and cross-selling products and services beneficial to customers.
• Listen carefully to customers' needs to determine appropriate products and services.
• Identify new banking customers and grow relationships with existing customers through in-store interactions and outbound calls.
• Provide exceptional customer service in an accurate and expedient manner.
• Enhance customer satisfaction and the bank's professional reputation.
• Follow branch security procedures and protect customer confidentiality.
• Process a variety of customer transactions accurately and in adherence to bank policies.
• Perform opening, closing, and other branch servicing duties (cash balancing, ATMs, housekeeping).
• Follow company policies to maintain proper records and prevent losses.
• Present a professional image and respond to direction and feedback.
• Contribute to a positive and respectful work atmosphere.
