Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New York seeks a Relationship Banker to represent the Chase brand in a busy branch, building trusted client relationships and delivering tailored financial solutions.

You will grow client accounts, advise on products and services, and collaborate with specialists while adhering to banking regulations. A valid SIE and state licenses are required, with training provided; weekend/evening hours may apply.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of sales experience in Retail Banking, Financial Services, or related industries with proven success in establishing new clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results.
• Ability to create memorable experiences for our clients – elevate the client experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone, with proven ability to tailor features and benefits of products and services to clients with differing needs.
• Ability to quickly and effectively resolve client issues with attention to detail – providing consistent client experience.
• Operate within established risk parameters/tolerances and meet risk and compliance obligations, including completion of required training.
• High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
• The Securities Industry Essential (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6, state registration (including 63 if required), and Life licenses are minimum requirements. Unlicensed applicants must obtain licenses within 180 days of hire via licensing program.
• Ability to work branch hours including weekends and some evenings.

Responsibilities

• Put clients first and exceed their expectations - deliver attentive and friendly service, creating a welcoming environment.
• Manage assigned clients and proactively meet with them, both in person and over the phone, to build lasting relationships, understand financial needs, and tailor product and service recommendations.
• Engage in clear, polite, consultative communication to understand and help clients, building trust – ask questions and listen to understand, anticipate their needs.
• Educate and connect clients to technology solutions such as Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs to help with banking needs.
• Learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately to effectively consult with clients about banking solutions, and connect them to our team of experts for specialized needs.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
