East West Bank, Pasadena, is seeking a senior accountant to lead our Operations Accounting Team, overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close for core functions. You will ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements while driving process improvements and automation.

The role requires 5+ years in accounting within public accounting or public companies, with strong leadership, analytics, and Excel skills. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA or MBA preferred.

Formación

• GAAP knowledge applicable to financial institutions
• Regulatory reporting experience preferred
• 5+ years of accounting experience in public accounting or public company environments
• Strong leadership and cross-department collaboration
• Advanced analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with ERP systems and automation tools preferred
• Excellent communication with senior management and cross-functional teams
• Banking/financial services experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required

Responsabilidades

• Lead daily accounting operations and month-end close for operational areas
• Analyze accounting data and review GL variance analyses
• Maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures
• Prepare schedules for internal stakeholders and external auditors
• Support accounting for new products, services, and system enhancements
• Drive automation to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Perform ad-hoc analyses and special projects as needed
