Job summary

Apex Service Partners is seeking an Accounting Manager to support operations across multiple West Coast markets. This role leads regional accounting, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial processes while building a strong accounting team.

The ideal candidate has strong GAAP expertise, hands-on leadership, and a continuous improvement mindset. Responsibilities include financial reporting, month-end close, internal controls, and regulatory compliance to enable scalable growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting preferred).
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• CPA license preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s a plus).
• Experience in multi-entity or platform environments strongly preferred.
• ERP experience required (Sage Intacct or similar).
• Demonstrated ability to lead processes and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial concepts for non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and analysis of GAAP-based financial statements.
• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Ensure SOX controls and internal audit compliance.
• Lead accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliation and financial analysis.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and communicate insights to senior management.
• Supervise accounting staff and mentor team members.
• Oversee regulatory reporting obligations, including tax filings.
• Utilize QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or PeopleSoft to streamline operations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
