Job summary

East West Bank in Pasadena seeks a Senior Manager, International Operations to lead the international operations function, including documentary letters of credit, standby letters of credit, and trade finance facilities. You will shape strategy, ensure regulatory compliance, manage risk, and deliver excellent customer service while partnering with Banking, Compliance, Risk, and Relationship teams.

You will mentor managers, review transactions, and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field required.
• CDCS certification preferred.
• 10+ years in international trade finance or trade operations.
• 5+ years into management of trade finance or intl operations.
• Strong knowledge of ICC rules: UCP 600, ISP98, URC 522, URDG 758.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day international operations, ensuring accurate processing of trade finance transactions.
• Lead, mentor, and develop managers and staff focused on service excellence and risk controls.
• Review and approve trade finance transactions within delegated authorities.
• Ensure compliance with laws, policies, and trade standards (UCP 600, ISP98, URC 522).
• Coordinate internal audits, regulatory examinations and risk assessments.
• Drive process improvements, workflow automation, and scalable growth across ops.
