Border Bank seeks a friendly, detail-oriented Customer Support Specialist to join our team. The role supports customers via phone and email, resolving questions and requests to ensure a positive banking experience.

The position offers flexibility to office at multiple Border Bank locations in ND and MN, with shifts Mon–Fri 8:00am–6:00pm and rotating Saturdays. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, banking or customer service experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service and/or banking experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Comfortable using multiple computer systems and tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers in an accurate, courteous, and customer-focused manner.
• Respond to customer inquiries through voice, email, and other communication channels as needed.
• Listen actively, ask thoughtful questions, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Maintain knowledge of Border Bank products, services, procedures, and general information to assist customers effectively.
• Work to resolve customer requests or concerns at the first point of contact whenever possible.
• Take ownership of customer interactions and follow through to a positive resolution.
• Use sound judgment, problem-solving skills, and available resources to address customer needs.
• Protect the security and confidentiality of bank, customer, and employee information by following established verification standards.
• Navigate multiple systems, screens, and tools while assisting customers.
• Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling, including possible evenings and weekends.
• Represent Border Bank positively in customer, employee, and community interactions.
• Support other bank activities as needed as part of the broader team.
