Role Description:

The Banking Center Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, growth, and success of the branch. This role drives deposit growth, customer relationship expansion, business development, community engagement, and operational excellence while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall performance and daily operations of the branch to achieve growth, service, and operational objectives.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to increase deposits, expand customer relationships, and grow the branch's presence within the market.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local businesses, community organizations, centers of influence, and prospective customers to support branch growth objectives.
  • Lead branch outreach efforts, networking activities, and customer engagement initiatives to identify new business opportunities and strengthen existing relationships.
  • Open qualifying consumer deposit accounts and identify opportunities to deepen customer relationships.
  • Promote a consultative, needs-based sales approach and coach team members to identify and refer customer opportunities.
  • Serve as the branch expert for Insured Cash Sweep (ICS) and Certificate of Deposit Account Registry Service (CDARS) programs, identifying opportunities to meet customer cash management and deposit needs.
  • Assist with the development and management of the branch budget, monitor expenses, and support achievement of financial objectives.
  • Analyze branch performance trends and implement strategies to improve results.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain monthly branch schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels, operational efficiency, and exceptional customer service.
  • Participate on Saturday and other branch coverage rotations as needed.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Represent the bank through networking events, community activities, and local civic involvement.
  • Identify opportunities to attract new customers and strengthen existing customer relationships.
  • Support referral and cross-selling efforts throughout the branch.
  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service and building strong customer relationships.
  • Assist with teller and customer service responsibilities as needed to support branch operations and customer needs.
  • Support cross-selling and referral efforts by identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate banking solutions.
  • Promote a strong culture of compliance, risk management, and operational integrity.
  • Ensure adherence to all bank policies, procedures, security standards, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Maintain branch readiness for audits, examinations, and internal reviews.
  • Identify, address, and mitigate operational risks while maintaining strong internal controls.
  • Ensure employees understand and comply with regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Partner with other branches and departments to provide comprehensive solutions that meet customer needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of banking experience required.
  • Previous supervisory, leadership, or management experience preferred.
  • Experience with branch operations, consumer deposit products, teller functions, and customer service.
  • Demonstrated business development, sales, and relationship management experience.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to other branch locations as needed.
  • Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and applicable banking regulations.

Salary Range $47,000-$62,000
