Job Summary

We are seeking a Banker-Pleasanton for a direct hire opportunity with a respected banking and consumer lending environment in Pleasanton, CA. This client-facing banking role is ideal for an experienced Bank Teller, New Accounts Representative, or Customer Service Representative who enjoys building relationships, opening accounts, recommending financial products, and delivering an excellent branch experience. Key Responsibilities

• Open, maintain, and close consumer accounts, business accounts, CDs, IRAs, Trust and Estate accounts, and related deposit products based on role level.
• Interview and profile clients to understand financial needs, recommend appropriate banking products, and cross-sell services.
• Process new account transactions, teller transactions, account documentation, and required system uploads accurately and efficiently.
• Provide courteous, professional service to clients in person and by phone while resolving inquiries and difficult situations with tact.
• Support branch goals by identifying new business opportunities, retaining at-risk clients, and referring customers to appropriate internal partners.
• Maintain compliance with bank policies, Bank Secrecy Act requirements, information security standards, and applicable state and federal banking regulations.

Compensation and Benefits

• Direct hire opportunity.
• Compensation: $20.00 to $31.90 per year.
• Location: Pleasanton, CA.
• CRA volunteer hours are compensable time, and mileage is reimbursed.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Open and support consumer and business banking accounts while ensuring proper titling, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Process teller and new account transactions accurately while maintaining a strong balancing record.
• Cross-sell banking products and services based on client needs and branch goals.
• Provide excellent customer service and build strong client relationships in a professional branch environment.
• 3-5 years of relevant banking, teller, customer service, or new accounts experience preferred for this opportunity.
• Minimum banking teller experience required, with level placement based on experience opening consumer, basic business, or complex business accounts.
• Experience with new account opening procedures, account maintenance, documentation review, and client profiling.
• Knowledge of basic banking regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act and information security requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and banking software programs.
• Strong communication, customer relations, judgment, confidentiality, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively with customers, branch staff, business partners, and leadership in a positive and professional manner.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior supervisory or backup supervisory experience for senior-level consideration.
• Experience opening complex business accounts, Trust and Estate accounts, and IRAs.
• Familiarity with Treasury Services such as remote deposit capture, check scanner support, armored service, or courier service.
• Experience processing reports related to large transactions, currency transactions, returned items, overdrafts, callbacks, or similar branch operations.
