Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Bank Teller for a direct hire opportunity in Redwood City, CA. The Bank Teller will play an important role in creating a positive branch experience while helping support service quality, operational accuracy, compliance standards, and business development goals. Key Responsibilities

• Process teller transactions accurately while maintaining a strong balancing record and delivering courteous service to clients in person and by phone.
• Approve large transactions for teller staff within assigned limits and provide supervisor overrides when required.
• Process the Daily Large Transaction report and submit required documentation to Compliance by established cutoff times.
• Open and support consumer and business checking accounts, savings accounts, CDs, and IRAs while ensuring proper documentation and account titling.
• Identify customer needs, recommend appropriate banking products and services, and refer clients to internal team members or partners as needed.
• Support the Branch Manager or backup with assigned duties, including resolving difficult client situations and helping retain at-risk customers.

Compensation and Benefits

• Direct hire opportunity.
• Pay range: $27.00 to $31.00 per hour.
• Location: Redwood City, CA.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Process teller transactions, large transaction approvals, and supervisor overrides accurately and professionally.
• Support branch compliance requirements, including Daily Large Transaction reporting and documentation.
• Open and maintain consumer and business deposit accounts, CDs, and IRAs.
• Assist customers with banking needs, product recommendations, referrals, and service issue resolution.
• 6 to 10 years of banking, teller, or branch operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of teller procedures, cash handling, balancing, transaction processing, and account documentation.
• Experience supporting consumer and business banking products, including checking, savings, CDs, and IRAs.
• Ability to follow banking regulations, internal procedures, compliance guidelines, and documentation standards.
• Excellent customer service, communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
• Professional judgment, attention to detail, and confidence supporting branch leadership with escalations and approvals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a senior teller, lead teller, universal banker, or branch operations support role.
• Experience providing transaction approvals or supervisor overrides within established limits.
• Familiarity with consumer and business account opening procedures and proper account titling.
• Ability to identify cross-sell opportunities and make appropriate internal referrals.
