Job summary

Gateway First Bank is seeking a Bank Wire Transfer Specialist I to process customer wires and mortgage wires, verify details, and support settlements. You will monitor wire requests and ensure proper approvals, maintaining CIF records and Good Guy rules where needed.

You will collaborate with the mortgage and financial departments, handle subpoenas/customer requests, and adhere to BSA/AML and privacy rules while delivering accurate, timely service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitors Outlook software for outgoing wire requests from bank employees and completes processing in a timely manner.
• Monitors wire software/system for incoming wires and repairs rejected wires to ensure appropriate entries are made for customers or bank accounts.
• Verifies all wires originated from the mortgage department to ensure accuracy with documentation.
• Works with financial department at day end to ensure settlement is completed when applicable.
• Maintains wire system with customer CIF records and enters Good Guy rules when necessary.
• Exercises awareness with regard to possible suspicious activity and reports to BSA department.

Bank Wire Transfer Specialist I JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for processing all bank customer incoming/outgoing wires as well as internal wires for bank settlements, and for verifying the entered transactional information on all mortgage wires to ensure accuracy. Also responsible for researching and compiling all records for subpoenas and for customer requests.

Bank Wire Transfer Specialist I ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (RESPONSIBILITIES):

• Monitors Outlook software for outgoing wire requests from bank employees and successfully completes processing in a timely manner. Ensures appropriate approval is collected in accordance with the procedures.
• Monitors wire software/system for incoming wires and repairs rejected wires to ensure appropriate entries are made for customers or bank accounts.
• Verifies all wires originated from the mortgage department to ensure accuracy with documentation. Posts daily entry for total of mortgage wires.
• Works with financial department at day end to ensure settlement is completed when applicable.
• Maintains wire system with customer CIF records and enters “Good Guy” rules when necessary.
• Exercises awareness with regard to possible suspicious activity, money laundering or fraudulent behavior and reports any such incidents to the BSA department. Performs all job functions in compliance with all company policies and federal, state, and local laws and regulations as applicable to the position, including, but not limited to BSA/AML, OFAC and GLBA/privacy rules.
• Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned.
