Job summary

Southside Bank seeks a customer-focused Teller to provide accurate teller services, maintain cash handling standards, and deliver friendly service. You will process deposits, withdrawals, and checks while ensuring transaction validity and confidentiality.

The role emphasizes accuracy, cross-selling, and proper guidance to other departments as needed. Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, 6 months cash handling or customer service experience, and strong typing/data entry skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months cash handling or customer service experience preferred.
• Proficient in typing, 10-key calculator and data entry.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Completion of Southside Bank training: New Employee Orientation, Teller Training, Teller Advanced and Professional Teller.

Responsibilities

• Provide teller services including deposits, withdrawals, and checks with accuracy.
• Verify transactions for validity and refer questionable items to supervisor.
• Maintain professionalism in appearance and interaction with customers.
• Balance cash drawer and meet balancing standards daily.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and direct customers to appropriate departments.
