Job summary

WaterStone Bank in West Allis, Wisconsin is seeking a Customer Teller to accurately process deposits and loan transactions while delivering superior customer service. The role supports sales by referring bank products and maintaining customer relationships.

Starting salary is $18.00 per hour and up, dependent on experience. Must have a high school diploma or GED and at least 6 months cash handling or customer service experience. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Required – 6 months of cash handling and/or customer service experience.
• Preferred – 2-4 years cash handling and/or customer service experience.
• Required – High School diploma or GED.
• Additional education and/or experience: Co-op participation; and previous cash handling and/or retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions with a high level of integrity, accuracy and knowledge.
• Support the sales process by identifying customer needs, promoting current offers and referring customers to Bankers and other lines of business for assistance.
• Maintain knowledge of the bank's core processing system, products, services and policies; comply with regulations governing retail deposits.
• Build and strengthen customer relationships by delivering an exceptional banking experience as outlined in the bank's mission.
• Answer customer questions and resolve account issues in person or by phone.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and regulatory factors that may affect banking operations.
• Recommend changes to policies, procedures, and products as appropriate.
• Operate in full compliance with internal policies and applicable laws.
