Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Bank Teller for a direct hire opportunity in the Menlo Park and Redwood City, CA area. This role is ideal for a banking professional with strong teller operations experience, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to support branch leadership with daily transactions, compliance, account support, and client relationship building. The Bank Teller will help create a positive branch experience by delivering accurate, courteous, and professional service to consumer and business banking clients. Key Responsibilities

• Process teller transactions accurately while maintaining a strong balancing record and delivering professional service to clients in person and by phone.
• Approve large transactions for teller staff within assigned limits and provide supervisor overrides when required.
• Process the Daily Large Transaction report and submit required documentation to Compliance by established cutoff times.
• Open and support consumer and business checking accounts, savings accounts, CDs, and IRAs while ensuring accurate documentation and proper account titling.
• Identify customer needs, recommend appropriate banking products and services, and refer clients to internal team members or business partners as needed.
• Support the Branch Manager or designated backup with assigned duties, including resolving complex client situations and helping retain at-risk customers.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay range: $27.00 to $31.00 per hour.
• Job type: Direct hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Process daily teller transactions, cash handling, account support, and client service activities.
• Support branch operations through transaction approvals, compliance reporting, and supervisor overrides.
• Open and maintain consumer and business deposit accounts, CDs, and IRAs.
• Assist with customer retention, relationship building, and referrals to appropriate banking services.
• 3 to 5 years of banking, teller, or branch operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of teller transactions, cash handling, balancing procedures, and branch service standards.
• Experience supporting deposit account opening and maintenance for consumer and business banking clients.
• Understanding of banking compliance requirements, documentation standards, and large transaction reporting procedures.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism, accuracy, and sound judgment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented branch environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience providing supervisor overrides or approving transactions within assigned limits.
• Prior experience supporting a Branch Manager, assistant branch manager, or branch operations leadership team.
• Familiarity with cross-selling banking products and making internal referrals based on customer needs.
• Experience resolving escalated customer concerns and supporting client retention efforts.
