Job summary

Hatzfeld Care is seeking a Bank Support Worker to assist residents with daily tasks and personal care. You will work as part of a team to support individuals with varying needs, encourage independence, and follow each resident's care plan. Must live in the UK to apply.

Responsibilities include maintaining care schedules, liaising with professionals, and participating in training and meetings. The role involves flexible hours and adherence to home policies.

  • NVQ 2 or above preferred; training and personal development provided

  • Be a Key worker and plan/organise residents' care
  • Liaise with professionals and significant people
  • Develop and review care and personal plans and update on the care app
  • Attend interviews/meetings and flexible by the Registered Manager
  • Participate in supervision sessions and training courses
  • Attend and support residents' house meetings and staff meetings
  • Adhere to home policies and procedures
  • Administer/assist in medication and maintain records

Sponsorship cannot be offered, this is a bank role so there are no guaranteed hours

At Hatzfeld we provide residential care for adults with varying needs such as Asperger’s, Schizophrenia or eating disorders to age-related illnesses or Dementia. A person‑centred care plan is produced tailored to each individual’s specific needs.

With residential care services in Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire we have a wide range of different career opportunities available supporting adults with varying levels of need, providing person centred, responsive care.

As a Bank Support Worker you will be expected to work as part of a team by supporting the residents of the home. Providing practical support as well as encouraging independence in line with the wishes of the residents and the requirements of the management.

Responsibilities for a Support Worker
  • To provide support and encouragement in tasks of household, personal and group management, including the following;
  • To reinforce skills already learned.
  • Becoming a Key worker with a Resident and planning and organising their care.
  • Liaise with professional and other significant people.
  • Assist to develop, prepare, monitor, maintain and review care and personal plans and update on the care app.
  • Attend interviews and other meetings as required.
  • Work on a flexible basis as required by the Registered Manager.
  • Be involved in regular supervision sessions with the Registered Manager.
  • Attend all training courses provided by the company.
  • Attend and support residents' house meetings.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings.
  • Be responsible for adhering to the home's philosophy, policies, and procedures.
  • Administer/assist in administration of medication and maintain medication records.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Reliable and trustworthy
  • Enthusiastic and motivated to bring positive outcomes and care for our residents
  • Good communication skills
  • NVQ 2 or above preferred however training and personal professional development provided
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Experience working with people who have mental health conditions and/or dementia desirable

As this is a bank role there are no guaranteed hours
