Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Bank Fraud Investigator to join our team in Chicago, Westlake, or Denver. You will investigate suspected fraud in banking products, analyze accounts and transactions, and collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Operations to resolve issues.

Strong communication and confidentiality are essential; 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred. In-person attendance required at least 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• Fraud investigation experience in a financial setting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of fraud operations and prevention techniques.
• Clear written and verbal communication with customers and internal teams.
• Ability to handle confidential information independently.
• Preferred: CFE certification or AML knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and mitigate bank and card fraud across multiple payment rails.
• Analyze financial data, account history, and transactions to identify irregularities.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Operations to resolve cases.
• Interview customers, merchants, and third parties to gather evidence.
• Apply FCRA requirements when documenting fraud findings.
• Stay current on fraud typologies and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure investigations comply with policy, legal, and regulatory standards.
