Robinhood is seeking a Bank Fraud Investigator to join our security team in Chicago, IL, with in-person attendance 3 days a week. You will investigate fraudulent activities across bank products, review account activity, and collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Operations to resolve cases.

You’ll apply FCRA requirements, stay current on fraud typologies and regulatory changes, and deliver timely, compliant investigations with clear customer communication.

Qualifications

• Fraud investigation or related role experience (1-2 years).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of fraud operations, regulations, and prevention techniques.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and mitigate bank and credit card fraud across payment rails.
• Analyze financial data, account history, and transaction records to identify irregularities.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Operations to resolve fraud-related issues and escalate cases.
• Conduct outbound contact with customers, merchants, or third parties to gather evidence.
• Apply FCRA requirements when reviewing fraud-related findings.
• Maintain current knowledge of fraud typologies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
• Ensure investigations and resolutions comply with regulatory and internal policies.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers.
