Job summary

Republic Services in Indianapolis is seeking a Stationary Equipment Operator to safely operate equipment at a recycling facility or transfer station, loading and compacting waste while adhering to safety standards.

Candidates should have 2+ years of heavy equipment experience, OSHA-site experience, and valid licenses. The role includes inspections, reporting, and following company safety policies; benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment operation experience.
• Experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.
• Valid certificates/licensing for equipment operation as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment.
• Safely operate stationary equipment (forklift, excavator, bulldozer, front-end loader, sweeper or baler).
• Load transfer trucks and ensure full capacity with proper waste compaction.
• Monitor waste/materials for hazards and ensure operational readiness of equipment.
• Complete Equipment Condition Reports and report repairs as needed.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
