Job summary

QXO is seeking an Accounting Analyst to support balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close activities. The role reports to the Balance Sheet Accounting Manager and offers growth in a dynamic, expanding company.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting and 2–5 years of accounting experience, with strong GAAP knowledge and meticulous attention to detail. Some travel may be required. HQ on-site in Englewood, CO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 2-5 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and ability to perform research.

Responsibilities

• Complete balance sheet reconciliations for low-to-moderate risk accounts in a six-day close cycle.
• Prepare, record and review journal entries; compile supporting documentation for cash, inventory reserves, sales tax accruals, prepaids, accrued expenses, fixed assets/CIP.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close tasks for six subsidiaries across four ERPs for the LBM Division’s South Region.
• Reconcile control accounts to GL daily; identify and troubleshoot errors with leadership.
• Compile and interpret financial data for stakeholders; conduct ad hoc analyses as needed.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve financial reporting accuracy.
