Job summary

Arizona Public Service is seeking a Reliability Engineer I/II for Balance of Plant cooling and water systems. You will monitor equipment health, troubleshoot issues, and support outages while improving system reliability in a collaborative environment.

This role suits engineers who enjoy hands-on problem solving, learning plant systems, and developing technical expertise within a team focused on safe, reliable power generation.

Qualifications

• ABET accredited engineering degree or equivalent from an ABET/MRA-recognized program.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of codes, standards, and safety practices in engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support health and performance of cooling water systems and mechanical plant equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment and system issues to support safe, reliable operations.
• Provide engineering support during planned and forced outages.
• Support maintenance strategies, equipment assessments, and long-term reliability initiatives.
• Participate in design reviews and evaluate plant modifications and upgrades.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, environmental, and engineering teams to implement solutions.
• Maintain engineering reports, equipment records, and reliability data.
