Job summary

Blackberry Farm, LLC is offering a Baking & Pastry Internship in Walland, TN. The role covers all aspects of pastry prep, from cookie production to nightly dessert plating, with focus on freshness, cleanliness, and organization in a multi-restaurant setting.

The internship runs about 15 weeks, with three trimester options: Jan–Apr, May–Aug, Sep–Dec. Interns work 30–40 hours per week and are paid hourly. Housing availability may apply.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in Restaurant and Pastry or Culinary Education in Baking and Pastry.
• Ability to read/understand recipes using different measuring systems.
• Communicate across shifts to ensure FIFO and inventories between two restaurants and In-Room-Dining program.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand long periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakeshop.
• Assist with pastry production and cookie scooping.
• Set up pastry line for nightly dessert plating; bake bread for nightly service.
• Assist with cake requests and dessert plating; help with recipe/menu development.
