Job summary

D&W Fresh Market in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a part-time Bakery Team Member to support daily bakery operations, including baking, frying, decorating, packaging, and merchandising. You will rotate stock, price items and help maintain an inviting display to serve customers.

Requirements include a high school diploma (preferred), basic reading and math skills, attention to detail, and retail experience is a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Bake, fry, decorate, package, display and stock bakery products.
• Follow production schedule to ensure timely prep and readiness.
• Price, date, wrap and bag bakery items as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized shelves, cases and displays.
• Notify Bakery Manager when products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Assist in receiving, unloading and stocking merchandise.
• Follow all PPE, safety, food safety, and cleaning guidelines.
• Support guest experience guidelines and may assist in other departments as needed.
