Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a part-time Bakery Associate to support daily production, packaging, and merchandising in our Family Fare location in Benzonia, MI. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork within a retail setting.

You will prepare and stock bakery items, assist with labeling and rotation, and coordinate with the Bakery Manager to ensure timely restocking and quality. Prior retail experience and basic math are helpful.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills required.
• Detail oriented and accuracy focused.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce Bakery products according to plan.
• Package and label bakery items per program plan.
• Merchandise bakery products per flight plan and merchandising expectations.
• Stock backroom with bakery products, rotating and dating cases/buckets.
• Notify Bakery Manager when products or supplies need ordering.
• Collaborate with other departments to drive store growth.
• Perform basic arithmetic and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate tasks, recipes, weights, and cleaning steps to associates.
• Follow PPE, safety, food safety, and guest experience guidelines.
• Perform additional tasks in other departments as needed.
