Job summary

D&W Fresh Market in Holland, MI is hiring a part-time Bakery Associate to prepare, package, and stock bakery products, and to assist in merchandising and guest experiences. You’ll follow safety, food safety, and PPE guidelines while working independently and with a team to meet store objectives.

Qualifications include a High School diploma (GED) preferred, 1 year of retail experience preferred, basic math, and strong attention to detail. Able to read, write and interpret documents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and Produce Bakery Products to Production Planner.
• Package and Label Bakery Products per program plan.
• Merchandise Bakery Products per Flight plan/Merchandising Expectations.
• Stock Backroom with Bakery Products – Rotating and Dating Cases/Buckets.
• Notify the Bakery Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Work as a team with other departments and Stores to achieve growth in SpartanNash Retail stores.
• Understand basic functions of adding, subtracting, multiplying and division.
• Communicate tasks, recipes, weights and measures, and cleaning steps completed to other Associates.
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines.
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed
