Job summary

D&W Fresh Market in Holland, MI is seeking a part-time Bakery Associate to prepare, package and merchandise bakery items. You’ll work independently to ensure quality and guest satisfaction while following safety and food safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include preparing products, labeling, stocking, coordinating with the bakery manager, and collaborating with other departments to meet merchandising goals. Basic math and reading skills are essential, and prior retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail Oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce bakery products to production planner.
• Package and label bakery products per program plan.
• Merchandise bakery products per flight plan/merchandising expectations.
• Stock backroom with bakery products – rotating and dating cases.
• Notify the Bakery Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Work as a team with other departments and Stores to achieve growth in SpartanNash Retail stores.
• Follow PPE and Safety Guidelines.
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
