Job summary

SpartanNash in Caledonia, Michigan is seeking a part-time Bakery Team Member to join our store bakery operations. You will prepare, package, label, and merchandize bakery products, stock backroom items, and assist with ordering as needed.

The role emphasizes safety, guest experience, and teamwork across departments. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED (preferred), at least one year in retail or related work, and basic math and reading skills to follow recipes and weight

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce Bakery Products to Production Planner.
• Package and label Bakery Products per program plan.
• Merchandise Bakery Products per Flight plan/Merchandising Expectations.
• Stock Backroom with Bakery Products – Rotating and Dating Cases/Buckets.
• Notify the Bakery Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Work as a team with other departments and Stores to achieve growth.
• Follow PPE and Safety Guidelines and Food Safety Cleaning Expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on needs.
