Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a part-time Bakery Associate in Benzonia, MI. This role prepares, packages and displays bakery products, assists with stocking and merchandising, and supports store operations to enhance guest experience.

Requirements include a High School Diploma (GED) or equivalent, basic math and reading skills, and attention to detail. Prior retail experience is preferred; ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce bakery products to production plan.
• Package and label bakery products per program plan.
• Merchandise bakery products per flight plan and merchandising expectations.
• Stock backroom with bakery products, rotating and dating cases/buckets.
• Notify Bakery Manager if products or supplies need to be ordered.
• Collaborate with other departments and stores to drive growth.
• Communicate tasks, recipes, weights, and cleaning steps to other associates.
• Follow PPE, safety and food safety guidelines.
• Follow guest experience guidelines.
• Assist in other departments as needed.
